FRSC Announces 2026 Nationwide Recruitment, Invites Qualified Nigerians to Apply

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, with applications set to open on Friday, July 3, for qualified Nigerians seeking employment across various cadres within the organisation.

According to a recruitment notice dated June 24 and signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal, the online application process will run for four weeks.

The agency emphasized that the recruitment exercise is completely free, warning applicants against paying money to anyone claiming to facilitate the process.

“Application is free and attracts no cost,” the notice stated.

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the FRSC’s official online recruitment portal. Those shortlisted will be expected to present printed copies of their completed application forms during the screening exercise.

The recruitment exercise covers three major categories: the Officer Cadre, the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.

For the Officer Cadre, vacancies are available for Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders, and Assistant Route Commanders. Eligible applicants include medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, engineers, and graduates with B.Sc., BA, or HND qualifications, depending on the specific position. Candidates applying under this category must generally be between 18 and 35 years of age.

The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is open to holders of National Diploma (ND/OND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), and Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) qualifications. Applicants in this category must be between 18 and 30 years old.

Meanwhile, the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is designed for candidates with at least three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics. The corps also encouraged artisans—including computer operators, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors, motorcycle riders, and drivers—to apply, provided they possess the relevant trade certifications and licences.

Applicants for driver and rider positions must hold the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence, while articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.

In addition to educational qualifications, the FRSC outlined several general eligibility requirements. Applicants must be Nigerians by birth, computer literate, medically fit, and single. They must also possess any required professional licences applicable to their chosen positions.

The agency stated that male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.

The notice also advised applicants to declare all academic and professional qualifications during the application process, warning that undeclared certificates would not be recognised for future career advancement within the corps.

Furthermore, prospective candidates must be of good character, free from financial indebtedness, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence. Applicants must also have no tattoos on any part of their bodies and are required to use their personal email addresses and telephone numbers when completing the online application.

The FRSC also advised pregnant women not to participate in the recruitment exercise.

Reiterating its warning against fraud, the corps urged applicants to avoid individuals demanding payment for employment opportunities, stressing that the recruitment process remains entirely free.

Members of the public seeking further information were advised to contact the FRSC through its official enquiry line by dialing 122.
