Julius Agwu, the well-known Nigerian comedian, recently
shared that he’s open to the idea of getting
married once again. In an
interview with Punch newspaper, the father of two expressed that his life has
taken a positive turn since his separation from his initial marriage.
Agwu had previously been married to Ibiere, but in 2022, he
confirmed the dissolution of their marriage. He revealed that his ex-wife had
grown weary of the relationship.
“In the present, life is rewarding and enjoyable. During
that period of separation, I battled various challenges, including my health
and family concerns. I’m grateful to God because I believe everything unfolds
for a reason. As long as there’s life, there’s hope. I might contemplate
marriage again at some point,” he shared.
Agwu admitted that he hadn’t sought divine guidance before
marrying Ibiere in 2008. He offered advice to men, urging them to establish a
stronger connection with God and seek His guidance prior to embarking on the
journey of marriage.
“I hold the conviction that a marriage lacking a
foundation in God will not endure. When I married my former wife, I didn’t even
seek God’s counsel. Many of us entered into marriage during periods of
prosperity, when money flowed generously, and women were drawn to us. But after
marriage, if a problem arises, the sentiment shifts to ‘I don’t want this man
anymore.’ I propose that individuals should first seek God’s counsel before
entering matrimony,” he stated.
