It has been revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s
ministerial list is scheduled to
be presented to the Senate on Thursday. The
information was disclosed by the Senate Majority Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele,
during his 60th Anniversary Lecture and Book Presentation in Abuja titled
“Leadership through communication.”
During the event, Bamidele expressed his gratitude to the
attendees for their support and honored him. However, he mentioned that Tinubu,
who was expected to be the guest of honor, could not attend due to ongoing work
to ensure the timely delivery of the ministerial list to the Senate within the
next 48 hours.
Bamidele recounted a conversation with President Tinubu earlier
that day, where Tinubu requested to be unavailable for the next 48 hours, as an
important correspondence needed to be sent to the Senate. The President sought
prayers for making the right decisions on the ministerial list, hoping that the
chosen individuals would be extraordinary and well-received by Nigerians.
Senate President Goodwill Akpabio praised Bamidele for his
unwavering loyalty to Tinubu for over three decades, dating back to his service
as an aide in the National Assembly in 1992.
