Emmanuella Igbobi is a Lagos-based Anambra Indigene. A two time ex-beauty queen
and the CEO Of Weckx Design Intl. She is a B.Sc holder in Sociology from the
University of Lagos (UNILAG) and has won over 69 awards due to her flair and
creativity in the fashion industry. In this fashionable interview with
Topflyers Magazine team, she talks about her love for fashion.
is your business fairing considering where you started and your aspiration for
good designs?
of October, 2015. I love fashion and always have passion for it. Fashion to me
is life. Making my customers happy with typical creative art is what makes it
more interesting to me. It was not easy when I started because I was young and
ready to face the market system despite the inflation and deflation in the
prices of goods and services. Notwithstanding, like I said, fashion to me is
life. The glamour it depicts alone is breath-taking.

for over four years.
are the challenges regarding your business?
these challenges is what defines us as entrepreneurs. My major challenge is
inflation of goods. Most times, it makes production of clothing difficult for a
target market.
do you hope to be in the next 5 years?
want to be seen as a global brand where Africa is just a stepping stone.
is unique about your brand?
confident in what you wear. We tell a story about you through your fashion
lifestyle. That is what makes our brand unique always to our esteemed Lovers of

message do you have for your customers?
that they should expect magic from us… It is a new decade and era and my
agenda is to transform fashion into a story line where what you wear defines

favourite meal is spaghetti and chicken sauce.
is the one thing you cannot do without to survive this life?
ones. I cannot do without that.

can you say about the Corona Virus ravaging the whole world and how has it
affected your business?
has done terrible harm but we still keep on going strong. Businesses have been affected alot because
everyone is just trying to survive.
