Nigerian skit maker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, also known as
Trinity Guy, has been released from prison,
bringing an end to his recent
ordeal.
Earlier, on June 22, Trinity was summoned to appear before
the Oyo State Police Command due to a skit he created involving a female minor
in a sexualized prank. As a result, the Magistrate Court at Iyaganku, Ibadan,
the Oyo State capital, ordered that Trinity Guy be held in prison until August,
along with the parents of the minor, Isiaka Ahmed, aged 40, and his wife,
Rofiat Ahmed, aged 29.
However, there has been a positive development in the
situation. Abdugalfar Abiola, popularly known as Cute Abiola and also a skit
maker, announced on Friday night through an Instagram post that Trinity Guy has
been released on bail. The news of his freedom was met with joy and well-wishes
from the entertainment community. Cute Abiola expressed his happiness for his
colleague and prayed for Almighty Allah’s guidance on Trinity’s journey ahead.
He warmly welcomed Trinity Guy back and made light-hearted remarks about his
friend’s continuous prayers evident from his forehead.
With his release, Trinity Guy can now move forward and
continue his artistic pursuits.
