In a heart-wrenching development, Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known by his stage name “Mohbad,” has come forward to share his thoughts on his son’s untimely passing. Mohbad, a popular artist in the Nigerian music scene, tragically lost his life under mysterious circumstances.
In a video interview that rapidly gained traction on Saturday, Joseph Aloba expressed his concerns, suggesting that an injection might have played a role in his son’s demise. He stated, “I think the injection led to his death. I don’t know the people that took him to the hospital, but according to what I heard, he was vomiting after receiving the injection, and that was when they decided to take him to the hospital.”
The grieving father continued, “I did not hear anything from the doctor because I was not there. They had returned him home when I met his body. So, I decided that they should bring him to Ikorodu for his burial. My belief is that it’s God who gives and it’s God who takes.”
Joseph Aloba also shed light on a previous incident involving his son and Naira Marley, another prominent figure in the Nigerian music industry. “When he and Naira had an issue, I can defend that my son was properly okay because that very day, I entered his house, prayed for him, and he told me that he wants to go somewhere,” he revealed.
However, Aloba revealed that trouble arose when Mohbad’s friend informed him of an altercation at Naira Marley’s residence. “On his way coming, one of his friends just came home and said that. He gave me the evidence that he was beaten up in the Marlian house,” he shared.
Despite these troubling incidents, Joseph Aloba stressed that he couldn’t ascertain Naira Marley’s direct involvement in his son’s misfortunes. “I heard a lot of things happened to him (Mohbad), but we cannot say it was Naira Marley. He was attacked when he was doing this new album with Zlatan, but Naira Marley was not with those that came,” he concluded.
