The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Bayo Ojulari, resumed work on Monday, putting to rest swirling rumours about his alleged resignation.
Ojulari arrived at the NNPC headquarters at approximately 9:35 a.m., where he immediately began attending to his official duties.
A senior security source at the corporation, speaking to Vanguard, confirmed Ojulari’s presence and ongoing engagements, noting there was no disruption to normal operations.
“The GCEO is in the office carrying out his usual responsibilities. The news making the rounds about his resignation is completely false,” the source stated.
An internal memo, reportedly circulated within the corporation earlier on Monday, urged staff to disregard unverified social media reports suggesting Ojulari had stepped down.
The NNPC management has yet to issue an official public statement, but the resumption of duties by the GCEO appears to have settled speculation over leadership stability within the company.
