Management of Prime Care Hospitals has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging that popular content creator Mukoro Mitchelle, widely known as King Mitchy, died at its Abuja facility.
The hospital issued the clarification after claims, reportedly shared by King Mitchy’s management team, suggested that she passed away after being rushed to a hospital in Abuja following the alleged ingestion of a harmful substance.
In an official disclaimer posted on its Instagram page Saturday morning, Prime Care Hospitals described the reports as false, stating that King Mitchy was neither admitted to nor treated at the facility.
“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our facility in Abuja is FALSE. King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” the statement read.
The hospital added that it is taking steps to trace the source of what it called misinformation and warned that legal action may follow.
“We are working with authorities to investigate the source of this misinformation and will take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. Please verify information through our official channels before sharing,” the management stated.
The controversy began hours earlier when a post allegedly shared via King Mitchy’s official Instagram page announced her death. The post included a video purportedly showing her consuming a bleach agent during a TikTok livestream and claimed that medical personnel in Abuja were unable to revive her despite efforts to save her life.
The statement also appealed for assistance from individuals familiar with a hospital in Abuja, claiming her condition had become critical and that her mother had fainted in Lagos upon receiving the news.
The conflicting accounts have triggered confusion and concern among fans and followers of the content creator. As of the time of filing this report, there has been no independent confirmation of King Mitchy’s alleged death from family members or relevant authorities.
