Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is set to deliver a sermon at Lambeth Palace in London on Thursday as part of engagements surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom.
Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury and a key centre of the Church of England, will host the First Lady during the religious engagement, which also includes a meeting with representatives of the Church.
The visit forms part of a broader diplomatic mission marking Nigeria’s first state visit to the United Kingdom in nearly 40 years, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between both nations.
President Tinubu and his wife arrived in London on Tuesday via Stansted Airport, kicking off a series of high-level meetings and public engagements.
The itinerary includes discussions with King Charles III and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, alongside interactions with members of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.
Mrs Tinubu, an ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has remained actively involved in faith-based initiatives and women’s empowerment programmes, both in Nigeria and internationally.
