Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed strong support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, citing what he described as the administration’s efforts in strengthening the economy and expanding infrastructure across the country.
Speaking to a large gathering at the Government House on Saturday, Yusuf commended the President’s leadership, noting that tangible progress has been made despite limited federal resources. He said the administration has focused on ensuring that development reaches all parts of the country.
“The President has been doing his best for this country; he has strengthened the economy and is ensuring that infrastructure reaches all zones within the resources available to the Federal Government,” the governor stated.
He also reaffirmed the loyalty of Kano residents to the President, expressing confidence that the state would support his re-election bid in 2027.
“The people of Kano are fully behind Mr President, and we will support his re-election in 2027, by the grace of Allah,” Yusuf added.
The governor further highlighted the strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as the dominant political force in both Kano State and Nigeria, capable of securing victories at all levels of government.
Yusuf congratulated party members on the outcomes of the APC’s Northwest Zonal Congress and National Convention, pledging continued investment in key sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, job creation, and youth and women empowerment.
According to reports, the governor was earlier received by enthusiastic supporters at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport upon his return from Abuja, before leading a rally through major streets of the state capital to the Government House.
