The news of Nigerian singer Davido allegedly impregnating a
United States businesswoman, Anita
Brown, and his refusal to acknowledge the
pregnancy has ignited a frenzy on social media. Anita, who came forward on
Sunday with her claims, recently resurfaced with evidence to support her
statements, triggering further uproar online.
Anita took to social media to share multiple screenshots of
conversations between herself, Davido’s cousin Clarks Adeleke, and the singer
himself, dismissing rumors of a one-night stand. She revealed that she first
met Davido in 2017 while in Dubai and that their relationship had been on and
off until the pandemic, during which they were in a “long”
relationship.
The screenshots unveiled chats with Davido, where he not only
admitted to having unprotected sex with Anita but also asked her to handle the
pregnancy discreetly, as other girls in the past had done, to alleviate his own
troubles. Additional conversations with Clarks indicated his promise to advise
Davido on taking responsibility for the child once it was born.
Anita addressed the trolls who had resorted to hurling
insults at her, expressing her surprise at the revelation that Davido was
married. She claimed that there had been no indication of his marital status on
his social media platforms or in any public information she came across.
It should be noted that Davido had married his long-time
girlfriend, Chioma Rowland, in January 2023. Their marriage came shortly after
the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in their Banana Island
home’s swimming pool.
In response to this latest development, social media users
took to various platforms to share their thoughts. One user named Gracie
suggested that Davido’s marriage to Chioma was a form of consolation for the
pain she had endured, emphasizing that a man who truly loves someone would not
subject them to such humiliation and shame. They expressed a lack of sympathy
for Chioma, stating that she had a choice but decided to remain in the
relationship.
Another individual criticized Davido’s repeated infidelity,
remarking that he needed deliverance and questioned his inability to control
his sexual desires. They mocked his consistent impregnation of women, noting
that his sperm seemed to catch everywhere he went. They speculated that Chioma
would not leave him because of his wealth, adding that if Davido were poor, she
would have left a long time ago.

Davido allegedly did not adequately care for his existing children, suggesting
that Anita should have considered this before desiring a child with him. The
