Nigeria and South Africa proudly hold the distinction of having the highest rates of unemployment worldwide

The World of Statistics recently
unveiled its latest rankings for countries with the highest

unemployment rates,
shedding light on the global economic landscape. Through their official Twitter
account, the organization disclosed that Nigeria had claimed the top spot with
an alarming unemployment rate of 33.3%.

 

Trailing behind Nigeria in this
disheartening lineup was South Africa, with a significant unemployment rate of
32.9%. Spain followed closely, securing the third position with a rate of
13.26%. Greece, renowned for its economic struggles in recent years, found
itself in fourth place with an unemployment rate of 11.2%. Colombia and Turkey
completed the top six, registering rates of 10.7% and 10%, respectively.

 

The complete list offered by the
ranking presents a comprehensive view of the global unemployment situation.
Nigeria retained its unenviable position at the pinnacle with a staggering
33.3% rate. South Africa stood firm in second place with 32.9%, while Spain
secured the third spot with 13.26%. Greece followed closely at 11.2%, and
Colombia and Turkey rounded out the top six with rates of 10.7% and 10%,
respectively.

 

The subsequent rankings featured
Iran at 9.7%, Uruguay at 8.8%, and Chile at 8.7%. Brazil claimed the tenth spot
with an unemployment rate of 8.5%. Italy and India shared the 11th position,
both with rates of 7.8%. Sweden followed closely with 7.5%, while Portugal,
Egypt, France, and the Euro area all registered rates of 7.2% and 7.1%.
Pakistan, Paraguay, and Venezuela shared the same rate of 6.5%, placing them at
19th, 20th, and 21st, respectively. Argentina followed closely behind with
6.3%, and Austria and Belgium shared the 23rd position with rates of 5.9% and
5.6%. Germany, Indonesia, and China each recorded rates of 5.6%, 5.45%, and
5.2%, respectively.

 

The rankings continued with
Canada at 5%, Saudi Arabia at 4.8%, Bangladesh and the Philippines at 4.7%, the
United Kingdom at 3.9%, Ireland at 3.8%, and Australia and the United States
both at 3.7%. Norway and the Netherlands secured rates of 3.5% and 3.4%,
respectively. Russia followed closely at 3.3%, while Mexico, the United Arab
Emirates, Japan, and South Korea registered rates of 2.8%, 2.75%, 2.6%, and
2.6%, respectively. Denmark claimed the 37th spot with an unemployment rate of
2.4%. Vietnam, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, and Qatar completed
the list with rates of 2.25%, 2%, 1.8%, 1.05%, 0.36%, and 0.1%, respectively.

 

These rankings provide a
comprehensive overview of the unemployment crisis gripping countries worldwide,
highlighting the pressing need for effective economic measures and initiatives
to address this pressing global issue.
