The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially begun its recruitment exercise for 2025, offering 3,927 positions across multiple cadres. Available Positions and Eligibility Requirements
The NCS is seeking qualified candidates for roles in three categories:
- Superintendent Cadre: Requires a university degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Inspectorate Cadre: Requires a National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from an accredited institution.
- Customs Assistant Cadre: Requires a minimum of an O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).
Applicants must also meet the following criteria:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Have no criminal record or ongoing investigations.
- Be physically and mentally fit, as evidenced by a medical fitness certificate from a government-approved hospital.

The application period will run from 27 December 2024 to 2 January 2025. Interested candidates are instructed to apply exclusively through the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng.
The NCS emphasized the transparency of the process, stating, “Our recruitment is entirely free and fair. At no stage do we charge fees. Anyone requesting payment is a scammer.”
