Barcelona Table €100m Offer for Atlético Star Julián Álvarez
FC Barcelona have reportedly submitted an official €100 million bid for Julián Álvarez in a major transfer move involving Atlético Madrid.
The proposal, said to be Barcelona’s first formal offer for the Argentine forward, is understood to be a straight cash deal without add-ons or player exchanges.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday that Atlético Madrid were displeased with both the timing and structure of the offer, although negotiations remain ongoing with no final decision yet reached.
According to the report, Álvarez has already informed Atlético Madrid of his intention to leave the club, a development that could shape discussions between both Spanish sides in the coming days.
Barcelona’s interest in the World Cup-winning striker comes as the Catalan club continues efforts to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.
Atlético Madrid are expected to internally review the offer before issuing an official response, with the club reportedly reluctant to sanction the departure of one of its key forwards without first securing a suitable replacement.
Álvarez has emerged as one of the most sought-after attackers in European football following a series of impressive performances for club and country in recent seasons.
