In a candid revelation, renowned disc jockey, DJ Cuppy, has shared insights into her recent breakup with British boxer, Ryan Taylor, during a Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) conference in London.
The saga began in December 2022 when DJ Cuppy confirmed her relationship with Ryan Taylor, following a viral video hinting at a marriage proposal. However, speculations about a split arose on July 15 when the once-publicly-affectionate couple unfollowed each other on social media platforms.
Addressing the audience at the WIMBIZ conference, DJ Cuppy reflected on the challenges she has encountered in various aspects of her life. She candidly mentioned setbacks such as the failure of her jewelry line and academic struggles at Oxford.
Acknowledging the twists in her life journey, Cuppy confirmed the end of her engagement, expressing optimism about the future. She remarked, “Now I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background. Whether it is my failed jewelry line which I did at 28 years old, or going to the University of Oxford at 29 and almost failing class.”
Adding a personal touch to her story, DJ Cuppy disclosed her engagement and subsequent disengagement, emphasizing her acceptance of life’s uncertainties. She concluded, “Perhaps a cherry on top, last year I got engaged and I am no longer engaged but such is life, and I know my story is still happening, and there is more to come, and I am okay with the uncertainties.”
