Nollywood actress Uche Montana has refuted claims linking her to the alleged drug crisis involving fellow actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, Montana described the allegations as “baseless and damaging,” stressing that she has no connection to the situation being circulated online.
Her response followed a viral Facebook post by Nwoko, who accused some of Regina’s close associates — including Montana and actress Sonia Uche — of sabotaging his wife’s rehabilitation process. According to him, the accused individuals allegedly violated doctors’ instructions by granting Regina access to restricted substances.
Montana, however, firmly denied the claim, saying:
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
The controversy comes amid escalating tension between Regina Daniels and Senator Nwoko. Two weeks earlier, a video surfaced in which Regina accused her husband of domestic abuse, claiming she had been treated like a “slave” in their marriage.
Nwoko, in turn, dismissed the accusations, alleging that Regina was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and had assaulted domestic staff. He further claimed that her friends were enabling her behavior by supplying her with prohibited substances.
Regina has since fired back, accusing her husband of hypocrisy and alleging that he was the one who first introduced her to the substances he now blames her for. She also claimed he had confiscated her phones, locked her indoors, and forced himself on her when she resisted.
The scandal has continued to dominate social media, with fans and industry insiders divided over the conflicting narratives from both sides.
