Ego, a renowned Nigerian singer who had previously been a
backup singer for Lagbaja,
is mourning the loss of her husband, who has passed
away.
According to Nigerian journalist Chris Kehinde, Victor Niyi
Ogbaro passed away on Wednesday in the United States. On Thursday, he shared a
photo of the couple on his Instagram account along with the caption: “Ohh
No, Victor Niyi Ogbaro, this cannot be true. Victor, the husband of Ego, passed
away today, from what I have just learned. May his soul Rest In Peace.”
Ego, whose birth name is Nwakaego Iheanacho, had tied the
knot with Ogbaro in 2009. However, they had been living separately for some
time before her husband’s unfortunate demise. Prior to his passing, Ego had removed
Ogbaro from her social media accounts, sparking rumors of marital difficulties.
