Ikorodu chairman, has come forward with a detailed account of the intense confrontation that transpired between him and the father of the late music sensation, Mohbad, following the singer’s tragic demise.
According to the chairman’s narrative, the deceased singer’s father had originally intended to conduct a hasty midnight burial on the very day of his son’s passing. However, the Ikorodu chairman vehemently opposed this idea and stood his ground, preventing the midnight burial from taking place.
Speaking in his native language, the chairman’s statements were later translated into English to provide a clear understanding of the dispute:
“I didn’t allow them to bury him. They wanted to bring him at midnight,” the chairman firmly stated, underscoring his determination to halt the rushed burial plans.
Recalling the heated exchange with Mohbad’s grief-stricken father, the chairman continued, “He called me, but I initially refused and told him he can’t be buried at midnight, not here.”
This revelation sheds light on the emotional turmoil and disagreements that can often arise within families during times of loss. The Ikorodu chairman’s intervention has delayed the burial and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and the subsequent burial arrangements.
The community and fans of the late crooner eagerly await further developments in this unfolding story as the dispute over the timing of Mohbad’s burial continues to unravel.
