Portuguese football manager José Mourinho is reportedly on the verge of returning to Real Madrid after reaching a verbal agreement with the Spanish club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed on Monday via X that both parties had agreed on all major terms, with only the signing of official documents remaining before the deal is finalised.
According to the report, Mourinho is expected to sign an initial two-year contract and travel to Madrid following Real Madrid’s upcoming clash with Athletic Bilbao.
The move would mark Mourinho’s second spell at the Santiago Bernabéu after previously managing the club between 2010 and 2013.
During his first stint, the former Chelsea boss guided Real Madrid to the 2011-12 La Liga title with a record 100 points and also won the 2010-11 Copa del Rey.
Nicknamed “The Special One,” Mourinho led the Spanish giants to three consecutive UEFA Champions League semi-final appearances before departing in 2013 for a return to Chelsea.
