Cori Broadus, the youngest child of iconic rapper Snoop Dogg, has shared a heartfelt revelation about her recent health struggle, disclosing that she experienced a “severe stroke” at the age of 24. The distressing news was conveyed by Cori through her verified Instagram account on the Instastory section.
In the emotional post shared on Thursday, Cori wrote, “I had a severe stroke this am,” accompanied by two teary-eyed emojis. Alongside the message, she posted a photo depicting herself wrapped up and wearing a mask, expressing disbelief at her situation with the caption, “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
Cori Broadus, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the beauty company Choc Factory, is the only daughter of Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus. Her health journey has been marked by her openness about being diagnosed with lupus at the tender age of six.
The rapper and his wife faced profound challenges upon discovering their daughter’s illness, with Snoop Dogg expressing feelings of helplessness to People magazine in 2010. Shante Broadus recalled the frustration they experienced before the lupus diagnosis, stating, “No one could tell me what was wrong. They drew tons of blood and said she has old-person cells. They gave her all kinds of [medication]. But she went downhill.”
In a People interview last year, Cori Broadus shared her decision to adopt a holistic approach to her health, revealing, “I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body’s like, okay, this is the new program and she’s getting used to it.”
Lupus, the autoimmune disease Cori has been battling, involves the body’s immune system attacking healthy cells, leading to a range of symptoms such as pain, fever, rashes, organ damage, and other health complications. The revelation of Cori’s recent stroke has sparked an outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers as they rally behind her during this challenging time.
