Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce have reportedly exchanged wedding vows during a private ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York, drawing an exclusive guest list of family, friends and prominent figures from the worlds of entertainment and sports.
According to the report, the couple married on Friday night in a closely guarded ceremony officiated by actor Adam Sandler, while legendary singer Stevie Nicks performed during the celebration. The secrecy surrounding the event reportedly ended when a marquee outside the iconic venue displayed the message, “JUST T&T MARRIED.”
Breaking with wedding tradition, the couple chose their siblings to play the most significant roles in the ceremony. Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honour, while Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside the groom as best man, according to Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine.
The bride was said to have worn a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, complemented by custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewellery. Kelce also reportedly wore Christian Dior Haute Couture for the occasion.
The wedding brought together two of the world’s most recognisable public figures, combining Swift’s global music career with Kelce’s success as a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Among those reported to have attended were Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Chris Rock, Steven Spielberg, Camila Cabello and author Jenny Han.
The guest list also included several notable names from the sporting world, including Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, running back Kareem Hunt, former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp, New York Giants receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and ESPN personalities Joe Buck and Stephen A. Smith.
Organisers reportedly enforced strict security measures throughout the event, requiring guests to surrender their mobile phones before entering the venue, resulting in little or no social media content emerging from inside the ceremony.
Television host George Stephanopoulos, who was reported to have attended the wedding, described the celebration as surprisingly intimate despite its location inside one of the world’s largest entertainment venues.
He said the ceremony felt deeply personal, adding that the setting had been transformed into a beautiful garden-like space within Madison Square Garden.
His Good Morning America co-host, Robin Roberts, also revealed that the couple wrote their own wedding vows.
The choice of Adam Sandler as officiant reportedly reflected his close friendship with the couple. Kelce appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, while Sandler has also featured on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast.
Swift and Kelce’s relationship has attracted widespread public attention since they began dating in 2023 after the Kansas City Chiefs star attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium.
Outside Madison Square Garden, fans gathered in large numbers hoping to catch a glimpse of the celebration.
One fan, Lori Powers, said Swift’s music had become the soundtrack to many important moments in her life, while another fan, Cecily Hall, described the atmosphere outside the venue as exciting and said the union of sports and music made the occasion especially memorable.
