Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of Galatasaray fans who eagerly awaited his arrival late into the night, celebrating his move to the Turkish club. Osimhen recently secured a one-year loan deal with Galatasaray after the club reached an agreement with Napoli.
The transfer marks a significant turn for Osimhen, who had faced a challenging period following unsuccessful attempts to join either Al Ahli or Chelsea. With the arrival of Romelu Lukaku at Napoli, Osimhen risked being sidelined for several months without active football. However, the loan to Galatasaray offers a fresh start for the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
Osimhen agreed to join Galatasaray on loan for a fee of €9-10 million. As part of the deal, he requested that his release clause at Napoli be reduced from €130 million to €75 million and negotiated a break clause for January, allowing him to consider offers from top clubs should they arise. The loan agreement does not include any buy option or obligation clause.
Upon his arrival, Osimhen joined the fans in celebration, sharing in their excitement for what lies ahead. He is expected to be officially unveiled by Galatasaray in the coming days.
