Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party
(LP), experienced a moment of
panic at the tribunal session in Abuja on Tuesday
when he couldn’t find his two mobile phones. The event was attended by his
running mate, Ahmed Baba-Ahmed, renowned novelist Chimamanda Adichie, and other
political associates.
Throughout the court proceedings, Peter Obi, dressed in his
signature black attire, sat closely beside Baba-Ahmed. However, a viral video
captured the moment when he realized that his phones were missing. He was seen
searching for them, expressing concern over their whereabouts.
After the court’s proceedings regarding his petition
challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the February
25 presidential election, Peter Obi discovered that his mobile phones were not
with him. Fortunately, later reports confirmed that the phones were found.
Peter Obi and his party, the Labour Party, are contesting the
election victory of President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition
Court.
