Popular Yoruba actor Babatunde Tayo, better known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian Ganiyu Morufu, aka Ijoba Lande. This confession comes after initially denying the allegations and threatening legal action against Lande for defamation.
Speaking in a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok personalities, Baba Tee recounted how the incident occurred under the influence of alcohol during a “Truth or Dare” game involving Dara and actress Marygold.
According to him, Marygold introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. He claimed he only realized her true identity much later. “I will not deny that I had a short sexual intercourse with her, but I genuinely did not know she was Lande’s wife,” he admitted.
His statement contradicts his earlier stance, where he challenged Lande to provide evidence or face legal consequences. Lande had previously accused at least 21 men in the entertainment industry of being involved with his wife, with Baba Tee being one of the names mentioned.
Following his confession, Esabod urged Baba Tee to apologize to Lande, emphasizing that the incident was a betrayal. Shortly after, Baba Tee took to Facebook to issue a public apology, writing:
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge…Hmmm. I fear women.”
Meanwhile, Marygold, who reportedly facilitated the meeting, is facing allegations of recording the encounter, further complicating the controversy surrounding the incident.
