Real Madrid have officially secured the signing of England international Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, marking the end of an era for the Anfield fan-favorite and the beginning of a new chapter in La Liga.
The Spanish giants confirmed on Friday, May 30, that the 26-year-old right-back has inked a six-year deal that will see him remain at the Santiago Bernabéu from June 1, 2025, through to June 30, 2031.
“Real Madrid C.F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons,” the club announced in an official statement.
Alexander-Arnold leaves Liverpool after spending his entire career at the club, having risen through the academy ranks to become one of the most decorated full-backs in world football. During his tenure with the Reds, he collected a total of nine major trophies:

The England international has also enjoyed a glittering individual career. He was also crowned the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season in the 2019/20 campaign.
On the international stage, Alexander-Arnold made his senior debut for England in 2018 and has represented the Three Lions at the FIFA World Cups in 2018 and 2022, as well as at UEFA Euro 2024.
His arrival at Real Madrid adds depth and quality to a squad that continues to evolve under manager Carlo Ancelotti. He is expected to play a key role in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, set to kick off in the United States on June 14.
