Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan appeared at the Federal Capital Territory High Court on Thursday to face charges filed against her by the federal government. The case stems from allegations she made accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to assassinate her.
Natasha arrived at the court alongside her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, as the federal government prosecutes her in two separate courts for allegedly defaming the two prominent politicians. The ongoing legal battle has drawn significant public attention, fueled further by Natasha’s claim that the conflict began after she resisted sexual harassment.
In a statement shared with her supporters, Natasha said, “Remember, it all started because I said no to sexual harassment… and I’m so proud I did! For my handsome, kindhearted and loving husband is more than enough for me.”
Meanwhile, tensions remain high as gunmen reportedly attacked Senator Natasha’s residence on Tuesday. Authorities from the Kogi State Police Command confirmed the arrest of one suspect linked to the attack at the scene, underscoring security concerns surrounding the senator.
The case continues to unfold amid growing public scrutiny and political debate.
