Media personality Toke Makinwa has become a mother for the first time, welcoming a baby girl she describes as the greatest blessing of her life.
The 40-year-old made the announcement on Thursday through an emotional Instagram post, sharing a picture of her newborn’s tiny hand clasped in hers. The proud mother revealed her daughter’s name as Yakira Eliana Olakitan Iyanuoluwa Ikeoluwa Adunola, calling her birth an answered prayer and a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
In her heartfelt message, Makinwa wrote:
“I’m a Mommy… This is the happiest I’ve ever been. My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being. I have seen the goodness of God in my lifetime; I have seen God move and I no longer just hear of it, I see it. It ended in praise, my miracle is here.”
She went on to thank her daughter for “choosing” her, expressing gratitude for every detail of her child’s arrival. “God heard, God answered. Every single detail, down to your fingers and toes, oh He heard my prayers,” she added.
