A nationwide initiative to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible has been launched in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The project, unveiled during a thanksgiving service on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, is aimed at promoting moral renewal, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among young Nigerians. The event was organised by friends of Seyi Tinubu and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
According to Enwere, the initiative is not a personal celebration but a faith-driven movement to encourage positive transformation in society.
“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians,” he said.
The thanksgiving service was held simultaneously in about 40 churches across Nigeria, featuring prayers, hymns, and messages centered on national renewal and the strengthening of moral values.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led the service and offered prayers for the Tinubu family and for peace in Nigeria. Clergymen from various denominations described the initiative as timely, emphasizing the need to rekindle spiritual and moral consciousness in the nation.
In a message delivered on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers, saying faith and moral education are vital for shaping responsible citizens and advancing national development.
The first batch of the Bibles, printed for nationwide distribution to churches, schools, and youth ministries, was officially presented during the event. The organisers noted that distribution would begin in the coming weeks, targeting all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The initiative has been widely commended by religious leaders and youth groups as a symbolic gesture of faith, unity, and moral awakening in a time of national uncertainty.
