Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have welcomed their first child together — a baby boy — marking a new chapter in their widely followed relationship.
Speculation about the birth intensified early Friday when Osawaru was seen at a hospital, sparking rumours that she had gone into labour. Hours later, the lawmaker confirmed the news on her official Facebook page, announcing that she and 2Baba had been “blessed with a baby boy.” The post quickly drew thousands of congratulatory messages across social media.
The newborn arrives just months after the couple formalised their relationship earlier in the year, following 2Baba’s separation from Annie Idibia in January. Their romance has remained a subject of public interest, from the singer’s Valentine’s Eve proposal to a series of family introductions and traditional rites.
In July, the pair held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja attended by close family members, solidifying their union.
The couple has yet to release further details about the baby, but celebrations continue to pour in from fans and well-wishers nationwide.
