Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned that any renewed military attacks by the United States and Israel would trigger a broader conflict extending beyond the Middle East.
In a statement released Wednesday through Sepah News, the Guards said Tehran would respond with what it described as “devastating blows” if further aggression against the Islamic republic occurs.
“If the aggression against Iran is repeated, the promised regional war will this time spread far beyond the region,” the statement said.
The warning followed remarks by Donald Trump, who indicated that Washington could resume strikes against Iran within days if negotiations over a long-term settlement fail.
Tensions between Tehran and Washington have intensified despite ongoing diplomatic exchanges aimed at ending the conflict that erupted on February 28. Although a ceasefire has remained in effect since April 8, both sides have continued issuing threats.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said the country had not yet used the full strength of its military capabilities despite facing attacks from what it called the “American-Zionist enemy.”
“The American-Zionist enemy must know that despite the offensive carried out against us using the full capabilities of the world’s two most expensive armies, we have not deployed the full power of the Islamic revolution,” the statement added.
The nearly 40-day conflict reportedly led to the deaths of several senior Iranian figures, including supreme leader Ali Khamenei, and sparked retaliatory missile and drone strikes launched by Tehran across the region.
Speaking on Tuesday, Trump said the United States could decide within days whether to resume military action if no agreement is reached.
“I’m saying two or three days, maybe Friday, Saturday, Sunday, something, maybe early next week, a limited period of time,” he said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also issued a warning on social media, stating that any “return to war will feature many more surprises.”
