2014 activities of Face of Pysmaco Beauty Pageant
Dec. 14th, 2014 was an evening of bliss as the second edition of Face of Pysmaco beauty pageant, a national event which will henceforth be known as Face of Flies magazine beauty pageant, held in Benin, Edo state, saw in socialites, captains of the industries and top government functionaries who thronged in for the event. The top dignitaries, just to mention but a few were: Chief Oseni Elamah, Chairman, internal revenue service, Edo State; Chief Jimawo Abraham, Executive Director, RRA, Edo State; Hon. Patrick Agwinede, Comm. for basic Education, Edo state etc. The event started with an opening prayer followed by the organizer’s speech, Hon. Musa Yahaya before the main event. Firstly, the contestants made a surprise casual outing by entertaining the audience with a group dance steps. The second outing was extraordinary with the contestants looking gorgeous in their traditional attires. Then came the question time to enable us check their level of intellect, where they all did well. The third appearance, which was the deciding moment, the moment everyone had been waiting for. This time around, they came out with dinner gowns well-tailored by Nigeria professionals. Fans took the ovation to the zenith with so much excitement for their preferred contestants. This time, the contestants were already looking fierce and i imagined what could be going through their minds like; “are u sure i will win?”, “Am i beautiful enough?”, “Did i answer my question well?, etc. Anyway, the judges did their professional work by selecting first 10 out of 20 contestants and then narrowed it down to top five finalists. 1st runner up, miss Environment/hospitality, Ajagu Olivia; 2nd runner up, miss hospitality, Jennifer Obianuju Ugbekile; 3rd runner up, miss photogenic, Melody Odiete John; 4th position, Flies magazine model of the year (a newly created position by the company), Rehanna Esther Ohiwerei. And the overall winner, Face of Pysmaco beauty pageant 2014 is Nmesirionye Ogechi Beatrice; a Delta born, 300 level student of English literature, University of Benin. Various gifts/cash were won by the winners ranging from flat screen tv, generator set, industrial standing fan, micro wave, a trip to and from South Africa and other consolation prizes. Guests were well thrilled by the performances from various artistes and comedians present. All the contestants went home happily due to the transparent nature of the show. To this end, we sincerely thank you all for coming and to also join us again for the 2015 edition which promises to be loaded with a lot of surprising packages.
