Renowned Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has candidly shared the reasons behind her decision to wait until the age of 46 to tie the knot.
In a recent interview, Dominic revealed that she chose to prioritize marrying for the right reasons over succumbing to societal pressure.
The actress explained that while she encountered several decent suitors over the years, she refused to settle for compatibility issues. “I wanted to be sure that I was married for the right reasons, not for the reasons that stemmed from societal pressure,” she affirmed.
Dominic emphasized her firm belief in marrying the man of her dreams, rather than succumbing to societal expectations. “Even before I got married, the pressure was there for years, but I just turned a deaf ear,” she disclosed. “If anything goes wrong tomorrow, I will be the one left to pick up the pieces, not the society.”
Dominic and her partner, Fidelis Anosike, exchanged traditional vows in April 2022, followed by a grand wedding ceremony in North Yorkshire, England, in November 2022. The celebrations were attended by numerous industry colleagues, marking a joyous milestone in the couple’s journey together.
