The Federal Government says it is set to immediately commence the rehabilitation of failed portions of the Lagos-Sango-Abeokuta federal highway. The Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, announced this on Tuesday during a teleconference between the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and the minister’s team. This followed an intervention by Governor Abiodun over the deplorable state of federal roads in that corridor. Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Health, Lagos State, ‘Tunbosun Ogunbanwo, made this known in a press statement on Sunday, titled, “COVID third wave mitigation: Lagos to sanction erring inbound passengers”. Three herders have been killed in what could be a reprisal attack by unidentified persons who stormed Ribok, Tsoriyang and Kankada General Area of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. At least five people have been killed and nine houses burnt as gunmen attacked Madamai village in Kagoro Chiefdom, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Three vehicles were also burnt while one was vandalised during the attack which occurred on Sunday. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and stakeholders are to meet to decide the minimum admission cut-off mark for the 2021/2022 academic session.
