Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) has formally arraigned former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over allegations that he unlawfully accessed a private telephone conversation involving the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The former governor, who also previously served as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is facing prosecution before a Federal High Court in Abuja on an amended five-count charge.
During proceedings on Thursday, the prosecution disclosed that the charges had been expanded from an initial three counts to five, signaling a broader scope in the case against El-Rufai.
