
In a heartfelt address during the Christmas Carol organized by the Naval Officers’ Wives Association in Abuja on Sunday night, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, emphasized the need to appreciate the dedicated service and sacrifices made by the personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces and their families.
Vice Admiral Ogalla stressed the importance of recognizing not only the military personnel but also their spouses and families for their unwavering support. He acknowledged that the collective efforts of these families play a crucial role in enabling the armed forces to perform at their best during various operations across the country.
“As we enjoy the festive atmosphere, let us also take a moment to appreciate the sacrifices made by our naval personnel and their families. Their service and selfless commitment to our dear nation deserve our deepest respect and gratitude,” stated Vice Admiral Ogalla.
He commended the Naval Officers’ Wives Association for organizing events like the Christmas Carol, emphasizing that such occasions allow the military community to come together in celebration and recognition of the collective spirit that makes them strong and resilient.
Furthermore, Vice Admiral Ogalla expressed his appreciation for the Presidents of DEPOWA, NAOWA, and NAFOWA, recognizing their significant welfare efforts in supporting the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He attributed these initiatives to encouraging personnel to give their best during various operations.
In the spirit of the festive season, Vice Admiral Ogalla urged Nigerians to embrace generosity and compassion, particularly towards the less privileged. He highlighted the importance of Christmas as a time for gratitude, generosity, kindness, compassion, and reflection.
“The NOWA Christmas Carol and Night of Nine Lesson hold a special place in our hearts, as they bring together the spirit of the season and the sense of community that defines the Naval Officers’ Wives Association,” concluded Vice Admiral Ogalla.
