Isreal Afeare, popularly known as Isreal DMW and an aide to Nigerian music sensation Davido, has taken to social media to announce the dissolution of his marriage. In an extensive post on his Instagram account, Isreal DMW shared the details of his relationship with his now-estranged wife, Shelia.
According to the post, Isreal DMW met Shelia in February 2022, and they soon developed a friendship that turned intimate. However, he revealed that challenges arose shortly after their wedding, with Shelia exhibiting what he described as her “authentic self” and attempting to set standards for him.
Isreal DMW narrated, “Marrying a lady because you met her during evangelism as a virgin, a pastor’s daughter, a member of the same Winners Chapel church, might not guarantee anything peace at all. Don’t be too eager or quick to trust people. People can change at any time.”
The Instagram post detailed their initial agreement regarding Shelia’s virginity and the conditions for their relationship. Isreal DMW claimed that after their wedding, Shelia’s behavior changed, and she began portraying herself as “Juju’s wife” with an increased Instagram following.
He further expressed that his wife accused him of being subservient to his boss, Davido. Isreal DMW alleged, “Sheila would always enter my oga’s dm to discredit me. She keeps showing everyone my Oga’s chat, that oga doesn’t like me at all. That oga said he’s even tired of me. I was fully the one that even introduced her to oga. I was the one who told oga to start following her back on ig.”
Isreal DMW also accused Shelia and her parents of being “gold diggers” who extorted him, claiming they are now seeking another high bidder. The couple got married in October 2022 in Edo State.
