Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has unveiled six new appointees to key leadership roles, effective immediately. The appointments, aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery across critical sectors, were disclosed in an official statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor. The six appointments will take effect on November 15, 2024.
The newly appointed officials and their roles are as follows:
Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu: Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)
Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi: Managing Director, State Waste Management Board
CP Friday Ibadin (Rtd.): State Corps Commander, Edo State Security Corps Governance
Stainless M.I. Ijeghede: Managing Director, Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA)
Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe: Managing Director, Edo State Public Building and Maintenance Agency
Engr. Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor: Commissioner for Finance (Designate)
Profiles of the Appointees
Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu
Dr. Iyamu, an alumnus of Oxford University (Said Business School) and City University of Paris, brings over 15 years of experience in banking, oil, and gas sectors. With expertise in corporate security and crisis management, he previously served as CEO of Gabbem Integrated Services Ltd, a marine services firm.
Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi
An accomplished professional with degrees in Human Resources and Strategic Leadership from the University of Cape Coast, Enehita-Inegbenehi has excelled in leadership and management roles. He formerly led JEI Visions Iron Metals and other ventures.
CP Friday Ibadin (Rtd.)
A retired senior police officer, Ibadin boasts a 35-year career in security, including service with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo. A graduate of Philosophy and Law, he is a seasoned legal professional and security expert.
Stainless M.I. Ijeghede
Ijeghede holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and had a distinguished career at Shell Petroleum Development Company in well engineering and safety roles before his retirement.
Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe
Eseigbe, a seasoned legal practitioner with LL.B and LL.M degrees from Ambrose Alli University, served as a legislative aide and legal consultant to members of Nigeria’s National Assembly for nearly two decades.
Engr. Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor
Okoebor, with a Civil Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Benin, has over 25 years of banking experience. Currently a Regional Manager at UBA, he is also a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and COREN.
Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence in the appointees’ ability to drive excellence and innovation in their respective fields, reinforcing Edo State’s commitment to transformative governance.
