Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has issued a strong warning to the United States amid reports of increased American military deployments across the Middle East, cautioning Washington against provoking Tehran.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Ghalibaf said Iranian authorities were closely tracking all US military activities in the region, particularly the movement and positioning of troops.
“We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments,” he wrote, signaling heightened vigilance from Tehran as geopolitical tensions continue to simmer.
The Iranian official also took aim at Benjamin Netanyahu, suggesting that American forces risk becoming entangled in what he described as misguided ambitions linked to Israel’s leadership.
“What the generals have broken, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will fall victim to Netanyahu’s delusions,” Ghalibaf added, in a pointed critique that underscores Iran’s concerns over growing alignment between Washington and Tel Aviv.
He concluded his message with a direct warning to the United States, stating, “Do not test our resolve to defend our land.”
The remarks come at a time of increased military posturing in the Middle East, with reports indicating that the US is reinforcing its presence in the region amid ongoing security concerns and strategic recalibrations.
While US officials have yet to publicly respond to Ghalibaf’s comments, the exchange highlights escalating rhetoric between the two nations, raising fears of further instability in an already volatile region.
