The family of the late John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, has urged the public to depend exclusively on information provided by the Central Planning Committee (CPC) regarding his burial arrangements.
In a statement issued in Enugu, Mr. Ivor Odonwodo, the elder brother of Junior Pope, expressed the family’s heartfelt sorrow over his passing while finding solace in the impactful life he led.
“Junior Pope’s life was marked by a deep love for God, family, and community, and he served as a beacon of positive energy to all who crossed paths with him,” Ivor Odonwodo remarked.
He highlighted the family’s commitment to bidding their beloved brother a dignified farewell by establishing a burial committee. Odonwodo urged the public to rely solely on information disseminated by the committee regarding funeral arrangements.
“The tentative date for Junior Pope’s burial is set for May 17, while the detailed program of events surrounding his farewell is being finalized in collaboration with the family,” he stated.
Odonwodo assured that the CPC would soon share a Funeral Poster outlining the scheduled events with the general public. Additionally, he encouraged patience as the committee works on finalizing the arrangements, inviting tributes for Junior Pope through designated online platforms.
“Tributes can be submitted via https://everloved.com/life-of/john-paul-odonwodo/ and https://bit.ly/ForevermissedJnrPope. For those who prefer letter-headed tributes, they can send them to jnrpopememorial@gmail.com,” he added.
For inquiries regarding funeral rites or any related matters, Odonwodo provided contact information for key members of the CPC, including Mr. Chijioke Ngwu, Chairman of the CPC, Mr. Aka Eze Aka, Enugu Commissioner for Information and Communication, and Dr. Amuche Nnabueze, Chairperson of the Media and Publicity Subcommittee.
