
Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, the former governor of Anambra State, has passed away at the age of 79. The sad news was confirmed in a statement released by Chief Rob Ezeife, representing the Ezeife family.
Dr. Ezeife, who served as the governor of Anambra state from January 1992 to November 1993, breathed his last at the Federal Medical Centre in Abuja. The statement expressed the family’s deep sorrow over the loss of their distinguished son, referring to him as “Okwadike.”
The late Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife had a distinguished career that included serving as a Federal Permanent Secretary, Anambra State governor, Political Adviser to the President, and a former Presidential aspirant.
The family announcement read, “On behalf of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu, I wish to announce the promotion to glory of our most distinguished son, ‘Okwadike,’ Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON. This sad event took place yesterday at 6 p.m. at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja.”
