Kano State was thrown into mourning as news broke of the passing of Halilu Kundila, a prominent member of the Kano State House of Assembly. Kundila, aged 59 and representing the Shanono/Bagwai State Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), breathed his last on Saturday following a brief illness.
A family source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed Kundila’s demise, stating that the respected lawmaker passed away at his residence on Saturday night. The news of his sudden death sent shockwaves through the political landscape of Kano.
The solemn funeral prayer for the departed legislator took place on Sunday morning at Kundila in the Shanono Local Government Area of the state. The ceremony was attended by a multitude of mourners, including distinguished political figures and members of the community.
