Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has confidently declared that he will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election. The former Kano State governor and 2023 presidential candidate made this assertion on Saturday while inaugurating the newly renovated NNPP Secretariat along IBB Way in Katsina State.
During the event, Kwankwaso expressed strong optimism about the NNPP’s future, stating that the party is on course to claim the presidency and other political offices across the country in the next general election. He emphasized the NNPP’s preparedness, calling the party a force ready to bring change to Nigeria’s political landscape.
Speaking on his departure from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kwankwaso confidently declared the PDP “dead,” claiming that the party had lost its way, prompting his decision to move on. He urged Nigerians, especially women and youth, to be vigilant and not fall for deceptive tactics involving money or material goods in the next election cycle.
Addressing party leaders and stakeholders, Kwankwaso encouraged them to intensify efforts in preparing for the 2027 election, praising the renovation of the state’s party secretariat as a crucial step towards achieving success. He also took a moment to offer support to a young boy named Abubakar Ibrahim, who is suffering from severe acute malnutrition, pledging assistance.
NNPP Katsina State Chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, also spoke at the event, highlighting the party’s ongoing efforts to educate the electorate about its new logo, which symbolizes a focus on education. He stressed the importance of grassroots sensitization to inform party members and the public about the NNPP’s renewed vision and platform.
As Kwankwaso continues to mobilize support and strengthen his party, the NNPP is positioning itself as a key contender for the 2027 elections, with plans to capitalize on the lessons learned from the 2023 electoral process.
