
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Meta, recently underwent surgery after sustaining a knee injury during practice for an upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament. In an Instagram post shared on Friday, Zuckerberg revealed that he had experienced an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear.
Providing an update on his condition following the surgery, Zuckerberg expressed gratitude for the medical team overseeing his recovery. He detailed, “I am on the road to recovery. Zuck tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me.”
Zuckerberg, who had been preparing for a competitive MMA fight scheduled for early next year, announced that the event would be delayed due to his injury. However, he remains optimistic about resuming his training and participation in the fight once he has fully recovered. He conveyed his appreciation, stating, “Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thank you to everyone for the love and support.”
The post highlighted Zuckerberg’s determination to return to his training regimen once he has recuperated from the surgery, emphasizing his commitment to participating in the MMA event despite the setback caused by the injury.
