Popular media personality Laura Abebe, better known as Moet Abebe, has opened up about her decision to remain single during a recent episode of the podcast “Bahd and Boujee,” which she co-hosts with reality TV star Tolani Baj. The 34-year-old presenter, along with guest Nollywolly actor Etim Effiong, delved into the topic during the lively discussion.
Moet Abebe has been making headlines, with her personal life often under the spotlight. In June 2023, she bravely shared her experience of enduring what she described as an “abusive” relationship with her ex-fiance, spanning approximately two and a half years.
Adding another layer to her perspective on relationships, in October 2023, the video jockey expressed her reluctance to date men residing on the mainland in Lagos. She humorously explained her stance, stating, “I feel like if I call you at 11 pm, you will probably give me some story like it is too late, there are police on the street, I cannot come.”
This isn’t the first time Moet has voiced unconventional views on relationships. In 2021, she openly expressed her indifference towards marriage, labeling it as a “fraud.”
During the podcast episode, when questioned by Etim Effiong about her single status, Moet provided a candid response, pointing to her perception of men. “Your gender needs to do more. My issue with men is that they do not have sense. How about men stop dipping their fingers in so many pots? Because you are making me confused. That means I equally have options. I am choosing to be single, but even if I wanted to be in a relationship, the options are not so great,” she asserted.
Moet Abebe’s forthrightness and unapologetic stance on relationships continue to make her a notable figure in the media landscape, as she navigates her personal journey in the public eye.
