A concerned woman named Oge Nsimah has uncovered an app
utilized by Nigerian students to
generate counterfeit Joint Admission and
Matriculation Board (JAMB) results. This revelation comes in the midst of a
controversy surrounding Mmesoma Ejikeme, a teenager from Anambra State, who was
accused by JAMB of altering her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination
(UTME) scores, inflating them from 249 to 362.
Although Mmesoma denied tampering with her results, she
acknowledged that the initial score was incorrect during her appearance on
Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday morning. She firmly asserted
that the examination authority should not hold her accountable for the mix-up.
“After considering everything, I realized that my actual
score was 249. I promptly reached out to JAMB Support System by sending them a
text message to inquire about the discrepancy. If they check their system, they
will find the evidence,” Mmesoma expressed in response to JAMB’s feedback,
stating that the organization had concluded its investigation into the
contentious issue.
In the video that has gone viral, Oge demonstrates the
step-by-step process through which students manipulate their scores using the
app, enabling them to achieve their desired marks.
