Akwa Ibom in Diaspora Achievement Awards is tailored to
identify & celebrate distinguished Akwa Ibom state citizens in the diaspora
for the sterling performance in their chosen fields and to inspire greatness in
the average Akwa Ibom citizens.

Moreover, this year’s awards will take into cognizance &
stringent measures will be taken to honour patriotic Akwa Ibomites who have
made no small contributions to the community development and human capital
development.

The awards will further humbly be honouring Akwa Ibomites
whose private and public doings have helped to enliven hope for greater Akwa
Ibom State

WHY THE PAGEANT?

Miss Akwa Ibom in Diaspora Pageant 2016 is a pageant created
out of passion for woman dignity for the purpose of bringing out real Akwa Ibom
beauty. A pageant that will make an Akwa Ibom woman who portrays a demystified
beauty that beckons on excellence to inspire greatness in women.

Miss Akwa Ibom in Diaspora Pageant is a pageant to suite, to
give equal and equitable fair treatment to all the participants and
contestants. The winner of the pageant will be crowned with the coveted
prestigious Miss Akwa Ibom in Diaspora crown. The winner of the pageant as
stated in the mission/vision of the pageant will initiate a pet project that
will touch the average Akwa Ibom women and children. The Queen automatically
becomes an ambassador representing a positive image of the state in the
diaspora during her reign as Queen.

To encourage, promote and create the necessary awareness for
female and children development in Akwa Ibom state.

To increase female participation in girl child development

ROLES OF THE WINNER:

The winner becomes a brand Ambassador as a diaspora Queen
representing image of Akwa Ibom at home and in the diaspora. She will become a
community leader who will contribute to the development of gender and children
sensitive development and to further play a strong advocacy role in creating,
promoting and sustaining the awareness of beauty in a woman for community
development.
