The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with its technical partner PUMA, has unveiled a special commemorative match ball for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 final scheduled for Sunday.
The decisive encounter will see host nation Morocco take on Senegal at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah, with kick-off set for 8:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. GMT). The winner of the match will emerge as Africa’s new continental champions.
In a statement published on CAF’s official website on Friday, the football body disclosed that a special-edition version of the tournament’s official match ball, ITRI, will be used for the final. The ball features distinctive gold accents designed to honour both finalist teams on the grand stage.
The ITRI ball, which has been in use throughout the competition, is noted for its bold visual identity inspired by traditional Moroccan zellij geometric designs. These include central star patterns, floral petal motifs and circular symmetry that reflect the host nation’s cultural heritage.
CAF explained that the ball is built using PUMA’s advanced Orbita 6 technology, combining innovation with tradition to meet elite performance standards while celebrating African artistry.
PUNCH Online recalls that CAF and global sportswear brand PUMA had earlier unveiled the ITRI ball as the official match ball for the TotalEnergies AFCON Morocco 2025 at the start of the tournament.
