The Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) has completed the 2023 general election, but
several political parties and candidates have filed petitions to challenge the
election results. The petitions were filed in response to the elections held on
February 25th and March 18th, 2023.
Election petition tribunals have been established across the
country to handle these cases, and various suits have already been filed before
the tribunals. Judges have been nominated to preside over these tribunals, and
they are expected to rule on the cases brought before them.
In summary, the 2023 general election has been concluded,
but the outcome is being contested through petitions filed by political parties
and candidates. Election petition tribunals have been established, and judges
have been nominated to handle the cases.
