Funeral prayers for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, close associates of heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua, will be held in London on Sunday, January 4, 2026, following their tragic deaths in a road accident in Nigeria.
The Janaza prayer service is scheduled to begin at 10am at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG. The bodies of the deceased were recently repatriated to the United Kingdom ahead of the burial rites.
The arrangements were confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday by Boxing King Media, which expressed condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones. “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement said.
Ghami and Ayodele lost their lives in a fatal crash on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. They were travelling in a Lexus SUV conveying Anthony Joshua when it reportedly collided with a stationary truck.
Joshua, who was also involved in the accident, sustained minor injuries and survived the crash. Ghami, his strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer popularly known as “Latz,” were pronounced dead at the scene.
The funeral service in London is expected to bring together family members, friends, and figures from the boxing community to honour the lives and contributions of the two men.
