Nigerian Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again captured headlines with his grand gestures of love — this time by gifting his wife, Chioma Adeleke, a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, just weeks after their glamorous wedding celebration in Miami.
The luxury SUV, which recently hit the global automobile market, comes with a price tag starting at $150,000 (about ₦240 million) and features state-of-the-art upgrades, including sleek design improvements and advanced electric model options. The 2025 model represents a major evolution from its predecessors, blending classic G-Wagon ruggedness with cutting-edge luxury and performance.
Davido shared his excitement about the lavish purchase, revealing that he had initially acquired a previous model but decided to upgrade Chioma’s gift to the newest edition.
“First of all, we had to take the one I got, then obviously add more money to get the new one,” he explained, before proudly declaring, “Only the best for my lady.”
In a video that surfaced online, Chioma was visibly overjoyed as Davido unveiled the gleaming SUV. The singer hyped the moment with characteristic enthusiasm, exclaiming, “We do 2025!” as he presented the keys.
The opulent gift follows the couple’s lavish wedding finale held on August 10, 2025, in Miami, Florida, which marked the culmination of their highly publicised three-part nuptial journey. The couple first tied the knot in a court wedding in March 2023, followed by a traditional ceremony in Lagos in June 2024, before hosting their star-studded Miami celebration attended by business moguls, political figures, and global music icons.
The Miami event, estimated to have cost around $3.7 million, underscored Davido’s reputation for grand celebrations and luxurious expressions of love. The G-Wagon gift adds yet another chapter to the couple’s much-followed love story, which has become one of the most celebrated unions in African entertainment.
Davido’s gesture has since set social media abuzz, with fans and celebrities praising the singer’s devotion and calling the couple the epitome of “power love” in the entertainment world.
